Elite Avanti Smart Trainer with Zwift Cog and Click

Underneath the Zwift-ready setup is Avanti’s integrated OTS optical power meter with ±1% accuracy, gradients up to 18% and automatic calibration. Built-in Wi-Fi and black Flex Feet with 4.5° of lateral movement help you combine connected training with a more natural-feeling ride.

Technical specifications

Automatic calibration and stand-alone training

Avanti calibrates automatically to maintain consistent performance without a manual calibration routine. Its two stand-alone modes also let you ride without a connected training app: a powered, preset gradient up to 18%, or a fixed resistance level from 1 to 16 without power. Configure your chosen setting while the trainer is powered and connected to My E-Training, then disconnect as needed. These are preset workouts, not app-controlled sessions without electricity.

Connected training and responsive data

Built-in Wi-Fi supports network training and firmware updates. Dual Bluetooth channels connect two devices at once, such as a training app and a bike computer. Heart-rate and cadence Bridge functions relay compatible external sensor data through the trainer in a single app connection.

Fast Track can transmit training data at 10 Hz through supported Bluetooth or wired TCP-IP connections. Update the firmware and enable Fast Track in My E-Training first. Wired Ethernet requires the optional Elite Gateway dongle; it is not included.

ERG workouts and easier restarts

Easy Start helps you resume intervals after a short pause. My E-Training offers four power-display smoothing settings for ERG workouts. Immediate zero-power reporting when you stop pedalling also supports Zwift’s Supertuck recognition when its in-app conditions are met.

Compatible bikes and axle adapters

Avanti supports road, gravel, mountain and city bikes when the axle and drivetrain fit. Included adapters cover quick release Ø 5 × 130–135 mm and thru-axle Ø 12 × 142 mm. Optional adapters support Ø 10/12 × 135 mm, Specialized SCS Ø 12 × 135 mm, Boost Ø 12 × 148 mm and Super Boost Ø 12 × 157 mm.

Zwift virtual shifting and conventional cassette compatibility

The included Cog and Click provide virtual shifting inside Zwift: Click changes the trainer’s resistance to reproduce 24 gear ratios rather than shifting across a physical cassette. Check your bicycle’s axle and drivetrain fit; 8–13-speed compatibility does not mean every bicycle is supported.

Virtual shifting is not a universal feature of other training apps. For a traditional setup on another platform, remove the Cog and install a compatible 9–12-speed cassette. The supplied freehub accepts Shimano/SRAM 9-, 10- and 11-speed, Shimano 12-speed road and SRAM SX/NX 12-speed. Shimano Micro Spline, Campagnolo and SRAM XD/XDR freehubs are optional. The conventional cassette is sold separately.

Shimano Di2® pairing

Compatible Di2 shifter buttons can adjust resistance during powered stand-alone use or pause the brake for 60 seconds during app use. Supported groups include Dura-Ace Di2 R9200 and Ultegra Di2 R8100. Supported 11-speed Dura-Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000 setups require an EW-WU101 or EW-WU111 wireless unit.

Build your indoor training ecosystem

Pair Avanti with the optional Rizer for gradient simulation and steering, or Aria for airflow that responds to your training intensity. It also works with the Elite Square smart frame after removing the Cog and using the frame’s own sprocket. The Cog-equipped configuration supports Zwift Ride, subject to the required fit. These accessories are sold separately.

Apps, included equipment and storage

Use the included Cog and Click for virtual shifting on Zwift with a compatible device and software. Elite also lists compatibility with platforms such as My E-Training, MyWhoosh, Rouvy and Kinomap; conventional cassette installation is required for the traditional setup described above. App subscriptions and any Zwift promotional entitlement depend on the applicable offer. No fixed-duration free subscription is promised for this package.

The trainer comes preassembled with folding legs, an integrated carrying handle and an adapter drawer. Zwift Cog, Zwift Click, the power supply, black Flex Feet, standard axle adapters and a front-wheel support are included. Ethernet Gateway, red Flex Feet, alternative freehubs and optional axle adapters are sold separately.
